Wapakoneta Memories
Tim & Margie Bruns
Our family was very excited the day we were packing to move to Wapakoneta from the Chicago area as my husband was going to be the new Pastor of Bethlehem Christian Union Church. The day before we left we were packing and just outside our sliding glass door in our small Chicago suburban community a U-Haul truck pulled up to a nearby drive way. In 1996 that company had a policy of highlighting certain cities on the side of their trucks. We were amazed to see the city of Wapakoneta proudly displayed on the side of their truck. My husband went out to ask the man if the truck was for us and he stated it was for a neighbor. It was then that we knew that the Lord has a sense of humor. We moved to Wapakoneta the next day and spent six wonderful years there with fabulous people. I have great memories that will last a lifetime. I enjoyed raising my kids and living the country life in Wapakoneta. Our kids still feel like country kids in their hearts!!!!!
